Redefining Generosity in Their 20s

For JD and Madi, their relationship began with prayer, honest conversations, and a shared desire to trust God more deeply. Over time, that foundation of faith became the guiding force behind major life decisions—including marriage and how they approached finances together.

After getting married in 2023, the couple quickly realized that life would bring multiple challenges at once. Madi needed a work visa and a stable job, they were searching for an apartment, and JD had already committed to giving away 15% of his income.

In the middle of uncertainty, they chose not to step back—but to lean in.

“It was just a full step of trusting God, really just relying on our faith,” Madi said. “We just fully leaned in, trusted Him day by day. We got the apartment, my job worked out, and ever since it’s felt completely blessed.”

Slowly but steadily, things began to fall into place. Madi secured employment, and the couple was able to establish their home together. What once felt uncertain began to shift into stability.

As their lives progressed, so did their financial growth. With Madi’s job added to their household income, the couple’s earnings doubled. Over time, Madi’s salary increased by 33%, while JD’s income grew by 80%.

Despite the changes, their perspective on money remained centered on generosity and trust. JD says they’ve learned to prioritize faith over fear when it comes to their finances.

“We’d rather risk trusting God too much than trusting Him too little,” they shared.

Madi believes generosity reflects something deeper in the heart.

“I do think God rejoices in a cheerful giver,” she said. “He rejoices when His sons and daughters have the mindset to bless others.”

For JD, giving isn’t a burden—it’s a joy rooted in belief.

“It brings me joy knowing the good that I can do,” he said. “If you really believe that God loves you and provides for you, how could you hold back?”

Together, JD and Madi continue to live with open hands, choosing faith over fear and generosity over hesitation—trusting that as they give, they’re participating in something greater than themselves.
