From its humble beginnings in a defunct Portsmouth, Virginia, TV station in 1960, CBN has operated on a firm foundation of integrity and excellence in accordance with biblical values and principles. Through faithful giving and the desire to make a significant impact on the world in the name of Jesus, CBN has become a multi-faceted non-profit organization that provides media evangelism, prayer, and humanitarian aid—working in nearly 200 countries worldwide.
