CBN Third Party Processor Information
Any third party data processors CBN uses are outlined further down in this policy, which identifies who has access to your data for the purpose for which such access is granted.
Legal requirements are imposed on such third parties requiring the protection of such data, including, but not limited to requirements imposed by law, regulation and/or by agreement. We review our vendors, partners, and technologies regularly to ensure ongoing compliance with CBN’s privacy standards.
Data Storage
We use third party database providers, Microsoft Dynamics and Salesforce, to store and manage most of our personally identifiable information. These providers have some of the highest accreditations available for technical and organizational data security.

WP Engine, Pantheon, Amazon Web Services and Shopify
We use third party services, WP Engine, Pantheon, Amazon Web Services and Shopify to host our websites and store much of the personal information that our sites collect. WP Engine, Pantheon and Amazon Web Services have a US Data Privacy Framework certification. This means that they have standards of data protection recognized by UK and EU data protection authorities. Shopify has Standard Contractual Clauses with CBN to ensure that they will protect personal information from UK or EU residents appropriately. Email Subscribers
We use a third-party provider, Iterable , to deliver our email updates and promotions. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies including clear gifs to help us monitor and improve our emailing. We will only email you with content that you have consented to receive, is directly related to a product or service which you have purchased or subscribed, a donation that you have made, or if there is a legal or contractual reason to contact you.
If you are receiving emails that you do not want, you can stop them simply by clicking the unsubscribe button at the bottom of any of our emails. NOTE: Some emails, such as donation confirmations and purchase receipts are automatically generated and cannot be unsubscribed.
We may also use your email address to send you messages and promotions we think you might like through social media services such as Facebook, Instagram and the Facebook Audience Network.
People who donate to us
CBN receives donations via websites, phone calls and postal mail. We do not store any credit card numbers in our systems. Those numbers and the related credit card transactions are handled by the following PCI-compliant third parties, listed with their Privacy Policies:

In order to prevent fraudulent donation transactions, CBN uses third party services on donation pages. These services include:
Google reCaptcha – presents a challenge to the site visitor based on the visitor’s behavior on the site
IP Quality Score – evaluates IP address and device for known risk of fraud
People Who Contact Us Via Social Media
We use Hootsuite and Proofpoint to manage our social media interactions. If you send us a private or direct message via social media, the message will be stored by Hootsuite or Proofpoint. People Who Call Our Prayer Line or Interact with us via SMS text messages
When you call the CBN’s prayer line we collect personally identifiable information in our Genesys Cloud phone system. We use this information to help improve its efficiency and effectiveness. We only monitor or record calls with your consent. When your call is recorded, it will only be used for quality assurance purposes. All call recordings are stored securely and deleted after one year[DV1] , except those related to electronic fund transfer (EFT), which are held for seven years due to federal regulation.
SMS text messages and WhatsApp chat messaging are also managed and stored within the Genesys Cloud systems.

WhatsApp Users
When you use the WhatsApp application to communicate with CBN, you are communicating through WhatsApp and are subject to WhatsApp’s terms and conditions. More specifically, you are agreeing to the collection and use of some personal information based on the WhatsApp privacy policy. This may include phone number and account information and other information that you choose to provide as well as information about your activity when using the application. It is our understanding that message content and attachments are not permanently stored but may be retained temporarily by WhatsApp to provide the services required. CBN’s use of WhatsApp is conducted in compliance with applicable data protection regulations.

People Who Email Us
Email that you send to us is held securely in our Office365 environment. We use Transport Layer Security (TLS) to protect email in transit between our O365 environment and our CBN locations. Any emails we send to you or receive from you are not protected in transit. We may also monitor any emails sent to us, including file attachments, for viruses or malicious software.
People Who Use CBN Services
CBN’s offers various services to the public. We may use a third party to deal with some publication requests such as Frontlines Magazine and Power for Life, but they are only allowed to use the information to send out the publications.
We have to hold the details of the people who have requested a service in order to provide it. However, we only use these details to provide the service the person has requested and other related purposes, including, but not limited to, informing you of other services or promotions we think you might be interested in. We may also use information about people who have requested a publication to carry out a survey to find out if they are happy with the level of service they received.
