Superbook Sparks Revival in Cambodia
In the quiet countryside of Kampong Thom province, Cambodia, 17-year-old Sithai is leading a spiritual revival. As the eldest daughter in a non-Christian farming family, Sithai’s life has been shaped by hard work, responsibility, and a deep desire to make a difference. With dreams of becoming a secondary school teacher, she’s already begun teaching—but not just academics. She’s teaching children about God.
Sithai’s teaching journey began when she was invited to a one-day training for Superbook Academy, a Sunday school curriculum based on CBN Animation’s animated series Superbook. Sithai attended the training along with many other believers from churches across her province. That day changed everything.
With just one computer shared across four regions, Sithai started using CBN Animation’s Superbook episodes of animated Bible stories to teach children in her community. The impact was immediate and profound. Sithai shared:
“We utilize one computer across four regions, rotating usage so that each region has access once a month. The children really enjoy the animated Bible videos, which greatly assist me in teaching them. The clear, sequential lessons keep them engaged and foster a deeper interest in learning. This has helped them develop a better relationship with God and has contributed to their spiritual growth.”
What began with 20 children has now grown to 40–60, with more joining each time the videos are played. The colorful animations and powerful storytelling of Superbook have made the Bible come alive for these young hearts. Sithai has seen firsthand how the program has transformed her Sunday school class:
