Forgiveness and Peace with Superbook
Day Era, a 10-year-old boy from Myanmar, is the son of a pastor and a Sunday school teacher. Currently in fifth grade, Day Era has always been surrounded by faith and prayer. His parents consistently pray for him and teach him to pray and read the Word of God every day, fostering a happy family life. As a result, Day Era is an active child who is eager to help others.
However, Day Era had difficulty managing his temper, especially when quarrelling with friends or siblings. He struggled with forgiveness, often holding onto grudges and dissatisfaction. This behavior left Day Era in frequent conflict with those around him. But that began to change when he learned the Superbook lesson of “Jacob and Esau.”
Through this lesson, Day Era discovered the consequences of quarrelling and unforgiveness. He saw how these actions led to separation and lack of peace between siblings and friends. Inspired by the story, he decided to change his ways. "Quarreling and unforgiveness destroys peace of mind and disrupts our relationships. As God forgives our sins, God wants us to forgive each other. Therefore, I decided that I will never fight with others and will always forgive others," he says with conviction.
Superbook has played a significant role in Day Era's transformation. The engaging and relatable stories of the Bible brought to life through Superbook have helped him connect with the Word of God, experience Jesus' love, and share Jesus’ love and forgiveness with others. Now when faced with the choice between forgiveness and holding grudges, Day Era says, “I decide to forgive others in my life.”
