Praying Through Every Emotion
In the bustling heart of Kathmandu Valley, Nepal, a powerful movement of prayer and transformation took place in June 2025. Hosted at a local church in honor of the World Weekend of Prayer for Children at Risk, this special event brought together children, parents, teachers, pastors, and community leaders for a day filled with worship, learning, and heartfelt connection.
At the center of this gathering was CBN Animation’s Superbook, the animated Bible series that continues to reach children across cultures with the timeless truths of God’s Word.
The day began with joyful action songs performed by a group from a local orphanage center, setting a tone of celebration and unity. Then came a powerful introduction to prayer—its importance, its purpose, and how it connects us to God in every season of life.
Children were captivated by a special message from Gizmo, who helped them understand that prayer isn’t just for moments of joy or crisis—it’s for every emotion we feel.
In breakout sessions, children were divided into groups to explore different human emotions and the role of prayer in managing them. They learned to identify their feelings—sadness, anger, fear, joy—and bring each one before God in prayer.
Together, they prayed, shared their hearts, and discovered that God cares deeply about every part of their lives. The experience was both healing and empowering, helping children realize they are never alone in their struggles.
This event was made possible through the collaboration of various children’s ministry partners across the Kathmandu Valley. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with organizers and participants expressing deep gratitude and encouragement.
