Baby Dey's arrival brought joy mingled with concern as his parents, Pheaktra and Sinuon, discovered a severe cleft palate. The weight of this condition bore down heavily on Pheaktra, realizing the impossibility of affording the necessary surgery for his son.

Their financial struggle, surviving on meager daily earnings, meant even basic necessities like formula were out of reach. Sinuon's worry transcended into fear for Dey's life, fearing malnourishment and illness.

Dey's health deteriorated, catching frequent colds and losing weight, prompting deep concern from his mother. His elder sister, Socheata, fiercely defended him, refusing to accept hurtful labels attached to her beloved brother.

Hope glimmered when they learned about Operation Blessing. The organization extended a lifeline, offering free surgery to repair Dey's cleft palate—a ray of hope in their darkest hour. The successful operation brought immense relief and joy to the family.

"So relieved and excited," Sinuon expressed, seeing Dey gain weight and transform post-surgery. Socheata, filled with happiness, marveled at her brother's newfound ability to smile, free from the shackles of his condition.

Pheaktra, overwhelmed with emotion, saw a handsome boy where there was once worry. Grateful beyond words, he extended heartfelt thanks to Operation Blessing for the transformation they brought into Dey's life.
