Jewish Author Philips: Jews' Cultural Survival Can Help the West 'Because You're About to Destroy Yourselves'

JERUSALEM, Israel – Author and commentator Melanie Philips is well known for her defense of Judeo-Christian values and her support for Israel. CBN News had a chance to talk with Philips She argues about her latest book, The Builder’s Stone: How Christians & Jews Built the West.

Philips, who is Jewish, contends that the Jews' "unique selling point is cultural survival." She told us that in this time of anti-Christian and anti-Jewish furor in the West, "Here was an opportunity, I thought, for the Jews to say to the West, 'Look: we can actually help you. You disdain us and you fight us, and you look down on us and want to destroy us. So we can actually help you because you're about to destroy yourselves."

She added, "And furthermore, by an amazing coincidence, your values, your deepest values are our values."
