Couple Dedicated to Lifting Spirits Brings Joy of 'Global Celebration' to World's Difficult Places

JERUSALEM, Israel – Musician Georgian Banov and his wife Winnie have ministered to people in difficult circumstances for decades. Through their ministry, Global Celebration, they travel to garbage dumps, refugee camps, and war-torn areas, essentially to throw a party.

Earlier this month, they served up barbecue to local Israeli Defense Forces soldiers on the Gaza border.

In his book, Joy! God's Secret Weapon for Every Believer," Banov talks about what seems to be impossible – transcending hard moments to find joy.
