God Called Out Her Name on Live TV!

Anna Hillbery knew something wasn’t right.

“I didn’t feel protected. I felt something was off in my spirit—like something just wasn’t right,” she recalls.

At the time, Anna was growing increasingly frustrated with her job and overwhelmed by the demands of daily life. Burnout had taken hold. She wasn’t sleeping well, wasn’t eating properly, and felt constant pressure to meet everyone’s expectations.

“I was not getting enough sleep, probably not eating properly—just really feeling stressed between work and feeling a lot of pressure to make sure I was meeting everybody’s expectations,” she says.
Despite her belief in God, Anna felt disconnected from Him. Her prayers seemed to go unanswered, and frustration began to build.

“I started to feel a lot of frustration because I felt like either I wasn’t hearing from God or my prayers weren’t being answered.”

After several months, the stress began to affect her health. Poor sleep and eating habits spiraled into depression, leaving Anna emotionally and physically drained.

One day, while lying in bed, she began watching reruns of The 700 Club on YouTube. During a prayer segment, something unexpected happened. As Ashley Key prayed, Anna felt an immediate connection.

“Anna, this is for you. I kept hearing Anna. God sees you. God loves you. He is for you. He is not against you. Just receive this healing in Jesus’ name.”

“It was an unreal experience,” Anna says. “It gave me hope and that feeling of knowing God sees me in my lowest moments. He hears my prayers. He is listening. I felt like I could get through this, get out of bed, and keep moving.”

Two years later, Anna faced another emotional struggle that deepened when she came down with the flu. Exhausted and depleted, she found herself unable to even care for herself.

“I didn’t have the energy to take care of myself. I came home, laid on the couch, and started crying out to God,” she says.

Once again seeking comfort, Anna turned on The 700 Club, hoping to hear stories of healing and encouragement. During the prayer segment, she was stunned when Gordon Robertson began to pray.

“There’s a woman named Anna, and Jesus wants you to know that He has heard your prayer and He’s answering it right now. Anna, He’s calling you out by name because you called out to Him. Be restored now in Jesus’ name.”

“I just started weeping,” Anna says. “I couldn’t believe I heard my name the first time years ago—and then to hear it again. I was in shock.”

Today, Anna says her relationship with God is the strongest it has ever been. She is deeply grateful for what she believes God has done—and continues to do—in her life.

“I felt seen and heard by God,” she says. “God sees us when we’re struggling. He sees us when we’re sick. He hears us when we’re complaining and crying out to Him. It strengthened my faith and my relationship with Him and made me more expectant to hear from Him in creative ways.”
