Compassion and Care: Rebuilding Lives in Israel
Here at CBN Israel, our team works tirelessly to ensure we impact the lives of the families and individuals that reach out to us for help.
“They insisted on contacting us because they wanted to express their gratitude. They kept calling social services to convey their gratitude and their thanks.” Yulia, CBN Israel’s project lead for new immigrants and the elderly, shared a letter the team received: ‘It is a miracle for me to know that someone sees us. Thank you for the food, the clean bed and the attention.’
Yulia continues, “I wish we could have more hours in a day so we could, spend more time with these people and help more families. A lot of Holocaust survivors need all psychological help, and there are different degrees, so some of them only need, somebody to come and spend time with them because they're lonely.”
Through practical aid, compassionate support, and a message of hope, our team strives not only to meet immediate needs but also to empower people with the tools and advice they need to move forward and sometimes rebuild their lives.
“In Bat Yam, it really is a different story. Like the poverty is on a different level and especially for the elderly, So, so so the idea is for me, for example, it's important to go to places where nobody goes to.”
Standing with Israel, in this time of need, helps CBN Israel undertake projects that provide a brighter future for Israelis.
“So I work a lot with Bat Yam. They come to me a lot, especially Holocaust survivors, but also sometimes single mothers or just people you meet. I like to push people a bit to get them get a better life.”
Yulia works very closely with our beneficiaries and can share an inside look at the situation in Israel.
“These cities couldn't help these immigrants that are not very new. Somehow the municipalities were not able to help these people to get established and their children to get a better life. Second generation that is still having the same problems that their parents had, and they just arrived. And for those of you who are watching this, and of course we are very, very grateful for all the financial support. But also we would really appreciate your prayers for our work. And we need wisdom. We need God's guidance to reach those who are most in need, and that he would lead us to the right people.”
