A Sure Path to Joy and Satisfaction
Margarita lives life with passion—pouring her heart into her community and cheering for her beloved Baltimore Ravens. A true fan, she admits, “I love football. I love watching football on TV. I live in Baltimore. That’s our home team. I’m gonna support the home team.” After retiring from a career in education, Margarita keeps investing generously in others’ lives—especially the less fortunate.
This commitment to giving stems from deep-seated compassion. “I do have a heart for the needy. I do have a heart for the poor. I do have a heart for those that don’t have,” she explains. “And if whatever I have, I would love to be able to just help them. Somebody has to help others. Why can’t I help them?”
She gives to CBN’s Operation Blessing because it lets her do exactly that—make a real, life-changing difference in people’s lives. Margarita feels a sense of privilege in her role: “I feel honored and privileged that I’m able to support what Operation Blessing does around the world because they do amazing things. When they go into an area and you hear about a mom and a child have to walk miles and miles just to get water. And then when Operation Blessing comes in and they put a whole new system in and they’re able to get water and the children are drinking fresh water, the smiles on their faces, it’s just, its beautiful,” she shares.
Not long ago, after losing both her mother and brother, Margarita needed encouragement and support herself. During that difficult time, she found comfort in her faith. “The 700 Club encouraged me during my losses because they remind me that I’m not alone ,” she reflects. “I just love praying with Gordon, Terry, anybody, because they pray so beautifully. And they bring you in. It’s like, you can feel their love. And the Holy Spirit comes within me just the way it comes to them, so naturally. And it’s just so…it keeps me going. It makes my day.”
Today, Margarita remains a devoted CBN partner, trusting that the ministry’s global reach turns her generosity into worldwide impact—while blessing her right here at home. “Being a CBN partner reminds me of being a parter with God. Knowing that Jesus is right there with me. It gives me joy. It gives me faith. It gives me happiness ,” she says. “We want to be joyful. We want to have hope. We want to know that we’re not alone. And CBN encourages that.”
