Tar Tar Lives By Obeying the Word

In the culturally vibrant land of Myanmar where most people are Buddhist, twelve-year-old Tar Tar grew up in a family that didn’t know Jesus. Like many children his age, he was full of energy—but often that energy led him down a path of disobedience. He resisted his parents’ guidance, did whatever he pleased, and lived without direction.

But everything began to change when Tar Tar started attending Sunday school, where he was introduced to CBN Animation’s Superbook—a powerful tool for bringing the Bible to life for children around the world.

Each week, Tar Tar watched stories from Scripture unfold through vivid animation and relatable characters. One episode in particular—“Philip”—struck a chord deep within him. Philip’s unwavering commitment to God inspired Tar Tar to reflect on his own life. He saw how Philip prioritized God above all else, and something shifted in his heart.

He began to obey his parents.

This simple yet profound change marked the beginning of a spiritual transformation. Tar Tar, once defiant, began to listen. He started honoring his parents, showing respect, and seeking to live in a way that reflected God’s love.

He shared:

“I decide to live by obeying the Word.”

Superbook entertained Tar Tar, grabbed his attention, and awakened a desire in him to know God personally. He began reading Scripture and learning to walk in obedience, not out of fear, but out of love and reverence for the Lord. He attributes this change to the work of the Holy Spirit:

“Through the power of the Holy Spirit, my heart was transformed.”

In a country where Christianity is a minority faith, Tar Tar’s story is a powerful testimony to the global reach of Superbook. This animated series is a lifeline, bringing the truth of God’s Word to children in places where hope is needed most.
