In the vibrant and spiritually diverse country of Myanmar, 10-year-old May Nan lives with her family of six. Each week, she faithfully attends Sunday school—a place that has become more than just a routine. It’s where her heart was transformed.
Though she grew up in a non-Christian environment, May Nan had always been curious about faith. But it wasn’t until she encountered the story of “The Prodigal Son” through CBN Animation’s Superbook that everything changed.
In the animated episode, she watched as the younger son squandered his inheritance and returned home in shame—only to be embraced by a loving father who celebrated his return. For the first time, May Nan truly understood what God’s love looks like: not distant or conditional, but warm, forgiving, and joyful.
“I decided to obey God's Word and live for him,” May Nan shared with a grin.
That moment marked a turning point. She realized that although God had already shown his love by giving his Son, Jesus Christ, she had not been living in response to that love. The story mirrored her own heart—one that had been self-willed and distant from God. But now, she was ready to return.
