Denys Meets Jesus at a Superbook Camp
In Ukraine, 10-year-old Denys grew up in a military family. His parents are divorced, and he and his younger brother live in a home where faith is not a priority. Yet, thanks to his grandmother’s care and her words about the Lord, a seed of faith was planted in his heart early on. Denys loved holidays when he and his grandmother visited a traditional church, but his understanding of God remained distant.
When Denys attended a children’s summer camp for the first time, he arrived withdrawn and confused. He had no friends and showed little interest in games or classes. Life felt uncertain, and his heart was searching for something more.
Everything began to change through the camp’s Bible-based activities and lessons based on CBN Animation’s Superbook. Each day, Denys participated in games connected to Bible stories and attended lessons where he listened attentively and asked questions. The animated Superbook episodes brought Scripture to life, helping him see God’s love in a way he could understand.
The most important moment came when Denys repented and personally met Jesus Christ. That decision transformed him completely. He began reading the Bible, spending time with new friends, and radiating genuine joy. What started as a hesitant step into camp became a life-changing encounter with God.
Denys’s story is a vivid example of how God touches hearts and changes lives through his Word—and how Superbook is helping make that possible for children everywhere.
