From the Streets to Salvation

In the heart of a community where hope can feel distant and forgotten, a powerful transformation is taking place. At the Embrace Rehabilitation Center in Kenya, young boys once living on the streets are being given a second chance—not just at life, but at discovering their true identity in Christ.

An Operation Blessing team member prays over the group of boys.Embrace, supported by Operation Blessing, is more than just a shelter. It’s a place of healing, restoration, and spiritual awakening. Recently, the center hosted a vibrant Superbook event as part of their Operation Blessing Wash Project—and the results were nothing short of miraculous.

Thirty boys gave their lives to the Lord.

These boys, many of whom have faced unimaginable hardship, gathered to watch the Superbook episode “Joseph and Pharoah’s Dream”—a story of betrayal, perseverance, and divine purpose. As they followed Joseph’s journey from the pit to the palace, they saw reflections of their own struggles and the hope that God can redeem any story.

After the episode, the boys engaged in hands-on activities. Through these activities they learned the SuperTruth (the main takeaway from the lesson): “I will trust God and his plan for me.” They also practiced memorizing the SuperVerse (memory verse): Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.” As part of the activities, they also enjoyed time with Gizmo, the beloved robot from Superbook, who added joy and excitement to the day.

The boys later watched the episode “In the Beginning” in Swahili, deepening their understanding of God’s Word in their own language. These stories, told through engaging animation and grounded in Scripture, helped them see that they are not forgotten—that God has a plan for each of them.

This event was more than just a fun day. It was a turning point.

Through Superbook, these boys are learning about forgiveness, faith, and the love of Jesus. They’re discovering that their past does not define them—and that with God, they have a future filled with hope.
