Faith in the Mountains
In a quiet, mountainous community in Copán, Honduras, where resources are limited and spiritual outreach is rare, something beautiful unfolded one day in July. At a local school, around 50 children gathered for a special event put on by CBN Animation’s Superbook—a day that would change their lives forever.
The children, ranging from first to sixth grade, were welcomed with joy, prayer, and vibrant activities centered around the Superbook episode “Roar!”—which tells the story of Daniel in the lions’ den. Through games, songs, crafts, and heartfelt discussions, they learned the importance of praying, standing firm, and remaining faithful to God, even when life feels overwhelming.
The message was clear: God hears us, answers our prayers, and helps us do what is right. He rescues us in our darkest moments and uses our faith to inspire others.
The children received Gizmo summary sheets, craft pages, snacks, and Superbook kits—tools that helped them engage with the Word of God in a way that was both fun and deeply meaningful. Teachers expressed heartfelt gratitude, noting how rare it was for their community to receive such a blessing.
But the most powerful moment came at the end of the event.
To the glory of God, all 50 children said yes to the invitation to receive the gift of salvation and eternal life through Jesus Christ. For many, it was their first time hearing the Gospel. For all, it was a moment of transformation.
Reflecting on the day, one Superbook team member shared:
“We are blessed to be the hands and feet of Jesus, bringing the good news of salvation to every corner of the country and to every mountain he allows us to reach. Thank You, God.”
