A Superbook Christmas in Ukraine

Due to the Eastern Orthodox tradition of following the Julian Calendar rather than the Gregorian Calendar, many Christians celebrate the birth of the Savior in January. This January, the spirit of Christmas continued to shine brightly in Ukraine as Superbook Christmas events brought joy and hope to children and their families who have been affected by the war. Using scripts and programs created by the Superbook project, these events were more than just celebrations—they were opportunities for spiritual growth and transformation.

Arina & Valeria, two sisters who attended the Superbook Christmas event in Ukraine. One such event took place at a church in Vasylkiv, where over 60 children gathered to experience the love and message of Jesus. Among them were two sisters, Arina and Valeria, whose father is currently fighting for Ukraine. The girls enjoyed every moment of the event, from fun games and dances to cartoons, catchy songs, and gifts. At the end of the event, the children prayed a prayer of repentance and for victory and peace in Ukraine.

The success of these Christmas events is also due to the dedication and creativity of the children's ministry leaders. Olena, one of the leaders, expressed her gratitude: "I would like to personally thank the developers of the Superbook children's programs. All the video resources are very interesting, thematic, modern and meet the needs of young listeners. I wish you creative inspiration and God's blessing."

Another leader, Iryna, shared her experience with the "Witnesses of Christmas" program: "The children really liked the facts about animals and riddles. They also enjoyed playing the games described in the program. It was interesting, fun and informative. The program has many more interesting ideas that we did not have time to use, including drawing and crafts. We plan to use them later. The children really liked the holiday. Thank you for the new, interesting and practical ideas! May the Lord continue to inspire you and use you for his glory! We are happy to work with you in the Lord's field."

Pastor Dmytro, who has been serving for 30 years, highlighted the broader impact of Superbook Clubs: "I have been a pastor of the church for 30 years, and children's ministry was only in the church, in the Sunday school. When we started [the] ministry in the Superbook Clubs, I saw that it was through the Superbook Clubs that we could reach more children."
