A Joyful Superbook Easter in West Java
On a Saturday in April, the city of Karawang in West Java, Indonesia, was filled with laughter, music, and the joyful voices of over 500 children as they gathered for a very special Easter celebration. Hosted by the Superbook team in partnership with 20 local churches, this event was more than just a festive gathering—it was a powerful encounter with the love and truth of Jesus Christ.
Children from all walks of life came together to experience the Easter story in a way that was both meaningful and fun. Through vibrant games, uplifting praise and worship, and a heartfelt Bible teaching session, the children were invited to understand the depth of Christ’s sacrifice and the power of his resurrection. The highlight of the day was the screening of a Superbook episode that brought the Bible to life in a way that captivated every heart in the room.
The presence of Sunday school teachers and parents created a warm, family-like atmosphere, where children felt safe, loved, and encouraged to explore their faith. And the impact was undeniable.
Many children accepted Jesus as their Savior at this event, including four children who did not grow up in a Christian home and who had never experienced the love of Jesus before.
One of the young participants, Matthew, was especially moved by the Superbook episode “The Fiery Furnace,” which tells the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. The story of these courageous young men who stood firm in their faith inspired him deeply.
“I hope that more Bible animations will be produced to bless children across Indonesia,” he shared.
Matthew’s words echo the heart of Superbook’s mission: to reach children with the life-changing stories of the Bible in a way they can understand, relate to, and be transformed by.
