Israeli Military Expert Concerned US Could be 'Fooled' During Iran Nuclear Talks

JERUSALEM, Israel – Retired Israeli Brig. Gen. Amir Avivi seems to be cautiously optimistic about Israel's strategy in its multi-front defensive war. For him, however, the most important player to watch is Iran, and whether the U.S. and Israel will be able to ensure that its nuclear capabilities are not a threat.

The founder and chairman of Israel's Defense and Security Forum (ISDF), Avivi told CBN News, "I don't trust the Iranians." He said it would be amazing if the Trump administration could find a way to get Iran to dismantle its nuclear facilities diplomatically.

Yet, he admitted, "I think that there will be a moment where President Trump will understand that he's being fooled by the Iranians." He added, "He has one chance to do the right thing, to be a Churchill, not a Chamberlain."
