How Superbook Put a Family Back Together

After 8-year-old Manow’s parents separated she went to live with her dad.  “Whenever my mom came to visit, my dad argued with her,” she told CBN.   

While her dad was at work, Manow spent time with her aunt who lives nearby.  One day, Manow went with her to church where she watched an episode of CBN’s Superbook called He is Risen.  “Superbook taught me that Jesus forgave my sins, and that He loves me very much!” said Manow. “I wanted to be a child of God.” 

At the end of the episode Manow prayed to become a Christian. “Having Jesus in my heart made me feel much happier, even if Mom lived in another house.”   

She then invited her dad Phosin to church. “That day, I realized that I had finally found what I had been searching for all my life. It was God,” said Phosin. 

Soon, Phonsin also prayed to become a Christian, just like his daughter had done. 

“Jesus healed my pain and anger, and changed my heart,” he said. “I was able to forgive my wife.” 

Then Manow invited her mom, Sunisa, to watch her perform in an Easter play at church. “I learned about God’s love and forgiveness,” she told us. “It touched my heart. I wanted to know God more.” 

Sunisa prayed to become a Christian, too! The following Christmas, the couple reconciled, and were reunited, and now Manow has a baby sister.  “Everything’s different now!” said Sunisa. “I can’t thank God enough for His kindness to us.”   

“I’m grateful for Superbook,” added Phosin. “It led my daughter to God. And now my family is whole again!”
