She Believed She Would Be Healed

Enyu liked going to the indoor playground by her house.  However, since she was born with a hole in her heart, all she could do was watch the other kids have fun.

“My favorite thing is the slide, but my mom was always afraid I’d get hurt on it,” says Enyu.

“I had to pull her away,” Mrs. Dai explains.  “She’d cry and say, ‘Mom, why can't I stay and play?’  I told her it was because of her heart.  She was short, thin and weak.”

Mrs. Dai had to make almost all the day-to-day decisions about Enyu and her heart because Mr. Dai works in construction out of town.

“People gossiped and said I wasn’t a good mom and that I didn’t take good care of her,” Mrs. Dai reveals.

It was especially hard when Enyu got pneumonia, which happened a lot.

Enyu recalls, “My heart felt like it was being punctured.”

Mrs. Dai admits, “I was afraid I’d lose her.  I was heartbroken and wished I could take the pain for Enyu.”

Once Enyu ended up in the hospital on an IV for four days.

“She had a high fever, and she fainted,” says Mrs. Dai.  “The doctor said if she didn’t get surgery soon, her breathing would get worse, her heart could fail, and she might die.  It was like a big hammer smashed into my life.”

Mrs. Dai is a Christian.

She shares, “I read in the Bible how Jesus did miracles for sick people.  I told Enyu because God loves us, He’d take care of us.  Enyu believed with all her heart.”

“I prayed to Jesus to heal my heart, so that it wouldn’t hurt anymore.” Enyu says.

Then, a man at Mrs. Dai’s church told her about Operation Blessing… and you helped make heart surgery possible for Enyu.

“God answered our prayers.  Operation Blessing donors saved her,” Mrs. Dai exclaims.  “It’s like Enyu has a second life.  She’s completely different now.  Her heart is fixed, and her immune system is much stronger.  She’s gaining weight and growing.  Now she can play with no problem.  But the most important thing is her relationship with God.  All this helped Enyu experience God at a young age.”

“I'm happy now because my heart disease has been cured and I don't feel pain anymore,” Enyu declares.  She concludes, “Thank you to everyone that helped me.  Jesus loves you, and I love you too.”
