The Three Gifts

CBN.com - A Ji comes from a poor farming family in southwest China, where there's a shortage of everything, including water.

"All we have is an old water pipe at school," A Ji explains.

Over the years, people have cut into the school's pipe to get water for themselves. So now by the time water reaches A Ji's school, it's filled with dirt and rocks. This has made many children sick. A Ji was out of school once for weeks.

"I got so weak I thought I was going to die," A Ji says.

When Operation Blessing heard about this, they laid brand new pipes and buried them deep enough that no one could cut into them. Operation Blessing built a tank for the children so there would never be a water shortage. And they installed a water basin for the school.

"Now, there is no need for me to worry about the water," A Ji says. "It is always fresh and clean!"

This water is available not only to the children, but also to their families. And that has really helped A Ji's mom.

"We always had to use water so frugally. But now, there is plenty," she says. "Thank you CBN for coming to my village and helping us!"

Operation Blessing explained that it's Jesus who encourages them to help people.

"They told us that God is our Heavenly Father and that He sent His only son Jesus to die for our sin. And then He was resurrected," A Ji says. "I did not know about God before Operation Blessing told me. I was so moved by God's love that I accepted Jesus as my Lord."

Now, A Ji believes that with God, anything is possible! Like with tuition—Operation Blessing found out that A Ji’s family couldn't afford to pay for her next year of school, so they covered the bill.

"I want to say thank you to CBN and Operation Blessing," says A Ji. "God loves us so much that He sent you here to help us and share the good news with us. I thank God for you. You changed my life, so now I have faith!"
