A Prayer to Palin from her Childhood Pastor
In an exclusive interview with CBN News, Sarah Palin's former pastor Paul Riley and his wife Helen sit down and talk The Brody File in Wasilla, Alaska. He was pastor of Wasilla Assembly of God for 40 years.
Reverend Riley was the one who baptized Sarah Palin when she was twelve years old. He was her main pastor when she was growing up in Wasilla. When she became Governor, she even named a street after him in Wasilla. He was pastor of Wasilla Assembly of God for 40 years.
In the clip above, the Rileys share their prayers for Palin and her family.

PAUL RILEY: My prayer is that she will continue to be humble, and that she will continue to keep her eyes on the real goal. And that she will not be maybe disappointed or discouraged. That she will realize that she has a God who is able to help her and give her wisdom. And that she will not be prideful over it, but that she will realize that it's more to in than that. That God is helping her and that God will give her wisdom, and we pray for that.
HELEN RILEY: And I think that my prayer would be for her to stay true to her commitment, to her call. And my prayer would also be for her children and her husband and her family, that God will keep them safe... not just physically safe, but safe from outside intruders that could cause them to be discouraged or cause them troubles that don't need to come their way.
PAUL RILEY: I really think that really sums it up. She really desires that her families are not just left behind. She wants to see them included, and I think this is her prayer. You know when you have a calling on your life in regards to the public, in regards to being out in front, you want your family to also be with you and your desires of that. And I think that she is very conscious of that. She wants her family to be included. She doesn't want them to be in any way left out.
HELEN RILEY: And for that baby. I think that is a special baby. Even when the baby was first born we wrote her a little card and told her that we were praying for them and for the baby and that he would be a special baby, not to just their family, but he was our Alaska baby.
