Living Above the Limits of the Economy

CBN.com - Dean and Trish Chandler built their careers in the real estate industry. When the housing market began to decline, so did their business. But even then, they still gave tithes to their church.

“When Trish and I got together and married, there was not a question as to whether to tithe or not,” Dean says.

Even though the real estate business had taken a downturn, it wasn't long before the couple found work in property management. They believe tithing made all the difference.

“We were blessed the whole time. As we made the transition, we were always able to make ends meet," he adds.

At the time, Dean and Trish were regular viewers of The 700 Club.

“The show itself and all the programming allowed us to grow through our walk with Christ,” Trish says.

The couple decided to give to CBN in addition to tithing to their church.

“After we started giving to CBN, sales started just falling in our lap,” she recalls.

“We saw occupancies of communities that we would go into that would be at 70-75 percent and within a short period of time, they would be in the upper 90’s, and a couple of the properties that we did were at 100 percent,” Dean says.

As far as their financial success, the Chandlers are convinced giving made all the difference.

“We knew that because the more you give, the more you receive, we wanted to give more, so we just increased our giving at different intervals because God had just blessed us so much,” he says.
