Holiday of Hope Touches Houston
CBN.com -- Here's a recipe for some Christmas cheer. Take 4,000 square feet of donated mall space and turn it into a very special toy store! Why is this toy store so special? The toys are free!
All of them have been donated by caring people, like CBN partners who give and give and give, so that Operation Blessing can play a big part in making this happen!
"We just bring kids through, " says Henry DeBrill, "and they have an opportunity to pick a toy - like any other child would." Henry Debrill is the administrator for Somebody Cares Houston. He is also the Operation Blessing area manager.
Operation Blessing has a great relationship with Somebody Cares Houston, and Henry knows they couldn't provide the toys without Operation Blessing's help.
Working together to bring joy to many families who need help during the Christmas season, this annual outreach called "Holiday of Hope" reaches far and wide into many communities throughout the greater Houston area.
"I just want to thank God and thank everyone who participated in giving gifts because it made my children very happy because I wasn't going to be able to get them anything for Christmas," one mother told us.
"It really touched my heart and filled it to see my kids happy," another mother added. "God bless everybody. It's just wonderful and I hope the world stays like this, not just at Christmas, but every day."
You can spread love and joy this Christmas season by giving a special gift today! Your gift will help the ministries of CBN meet the physical and spiritual needs of hundreds of thousands of people this year who desperately need your help. Please give today!
