Last fall, Hollywood Insight brought you the news that Black Swan Director Darren Aronofsky was setting plans in motion to make a feature film about Noah, the man who built an ark at God's command before a great, devastating flood.

These months later, the award-winning filmmaker is in the middle of rebuilding the ark for the film. He tweeted the photo (featured below) of the crew's progress thus far.

“Since I was a kid, I have been moved and inspired by the story of Noah and his family's journey. The imaginations of countless generations have sparked to this epic story of faith. It's my hope that I can present a window into Noah's passion and perseverance for the silver screen,” Aronofsky says.

Russell Crowe (Gladiator, Cinderella Man) will play Noah. Jennifer Connelly (A Beautiful Mind) is Noah's wife, Naameh. Aronofsky will be filming his epic Noah story in Iceland and New York.

The film is set to release in theaters on March 28, 2014, according to IMDb.com.
