Financial Secret Leads to Early Retirement

CBN.com - Loretta Hager has learned to depend on God for everything.  It started after her divorce and she became a single mom raising two daughters.

“I opened up the scripture at home alone with God, that’s a good time, for my Maker is my husband. The Lord Almighty is His name”

While watching The 700 Club, she learned she could trust God with her finances as well, which meant tithing off her small income as a school bus driver.

“God’s mathematics don’t work like the world’s. I discovered if I give, I still get taken care of.”

After a while she decided to take it a step further.

“And I got real bold and I asked Father God to double our income. And I was very serious.”

Soon after, she landed a sales job at a car dealership, Even though she had no experience.  And sure enough her income more than doubled.

“I sold 17 units, which is, if a seasoned salesman sells eight or ten he’s okay. I sold 17 units my first month and didn’t know diddily squat about what I was doing.”

Loretta flourished in her new career and she and her daughters had everything they needed. 

“God has been so faithful.”

She also became a CBN partner and over the years has increased her giving.

“Number one, you cannot get better news than CBN News.  And two, I can dig wells for people who need water, and that’s exciting.”

Loretta went on to have success at other sales jobs.  By the time she retired at 60, she was totally debt free.  Today, she says God still takes care of her.

“Everybody says ‘I want to see God.’  Trust him in your finances and you will see God in your life.”
