One Dream Led Him To a Life Transformation

Thirty-year-old Eko (Echo) grew up in a violent home in Indonesia. He remembers his parents fighting daily, arguments that often turned physical. The primary source of the conflict, he says, was his father’s infidelity, which left his mother angry and deeply hurt.

As a child, Eko never felt loved or emotionally supported. When his parents divorced at age 12, the pain only intensified.

“I was deeply hurt and heartbroken,” he recalls. “Then I got angry.”

Searching for comfort outside his broken home, Eko began looking for ways to fill the emptiness he felt inside. In high school, he was introduced to sex, drinking, and smoking—choices that, for a time, distracted him from the pain but never truly healed it.

Years later, something unexpected happened.

Eko had a dream.

He saw a human figure dressed in pure white. Though he couldn’t see the figure’s head or hands, he felt an overwhelming sense of peace and calm as he looked at him.

Eko began to wonder: Was this Jesus? As a Muslim, he had previously read about Jesus on the internet. Could this dream be a sign?

Determined to learn more, he searched online and found the CBN Indonesia website. Through the site, he connected with the CBN Indonesia Prayer Center.

“On the call, I told them about my problems,” Eko says. “They gave me advice and prayed for me.”

CBN representatives later connected him with a local church partner. It was there that Eko made the decision to pray and become a Christian.

“The one thing that convinced me that Jesus was real—and that CBN was genuine, was the prayer center staff member who talked to me on the phone,” he says. “They told me God is here for sinners. I knew I was a sinner who had done many bad things.”

Through the ministry, Eko says he learned the truth that Jesus forgives and saves.

Today, he continues to receive encouragement through the CBN Indonesia website and Prayer Center, and he says his faith is steadily growing.

“I thank CBN for being the bridge that helped me know Jesus,” Eko says. “And I thank the people who support CBN, so the prayer center, website, and the Gospel message can continue to be spread. May God bless you all.”
