He Prayed the Pain Away — And It Worked!

“It was like lightning struck my shoulder and brought me to my knees,” Chris Einwechter said. “I was in severe pain, just like pins and needles or knives were going through my shoulder. That is when I realized this is a serious injury.”

“I go to the gym, I'm doing my back,” Chris said. “I feel like a pain in my shoulder. Didn't tell anybody about the pain or anything, it was no big deal. But then as time went on the shoulder kept getting worse and worse on its own. I really noticed it when I was sleeping. It would actually wake me up and I'd have to lay on my left side to alleviate the pain.”

“And then I'm throwing a golf ball in the backyard,” Chris said. “Just, you know, playing around. I’m throwing the golf ball and again it's almost like somebody punched me, it’s that much pain in my shoulder. I'm 58 years old and thinking, I got to get a shoulder surgery. All that scared me. I didn't want to go down that path, and I was discouraged. Finally, I spoke to my wife. She started praying for me and I started seeking God.

“It was almost a year of dealing with it,” Chris said. “I just remember feeling led to turn on The 700 Club.”

“Someone else, you’ve got problems with your right shoulder,” Gordon Robertson said on the show. “God is healing that for you, just raise that arm to Him. Begin to praise Him for He has done a miracle for you.”

“I felt in my heart, in my spirit, that he was talking about me,” Chris said. “That's when I raised it for the first time. I'm, like, waiting for it to stop, but it never stopped. I went all the way. And then that's when I knew I was healed. It was an amazing moment. I was in shock, and I was crying, I was emotional, grateful that God had healed me. I ran around house just praising Him and just kept checking my shoulder.”

“I got to go outside and I grab a golf ball,” Chris said. “I threw the ball, no pain, and I was like, holy cow, throw another one. I threw another one, threw another one. I threw one across the front yard, ‘Wow, You did this for me, Lord!’”

“I tell people all the time, ‘God is not just a God, but he's a Father,’” Chris said. “He's a Father who cares about his children. I believe in the power of prayer. I believe in Philippians 4:6. You know where it says, ‘Don't worry about anything, instead pray about everything.’ Tell God what you need and thank Him for all he has done. Whatever you're going through, whatever challenge you're facing, God wants to hear about it. He wants you to seek His face, and when we do God shows up in our lives in incredible ways that we never expected.”
