Breaking the Relationship Barrier with God

LEARN THE MACHINE

For eleven years, Ed flew advanced fighter jets including the F-18. There are two main things to remember about flying: When you push the control stick forward, the houses get bigger. When you pull the stick back, the houses get smaller. As pilots they were required to learn the machine. They spent hours and weeks learning about the machine so that in the event of an emergency pilots revert to their training.

For Ed, he was a thousand miles from any lane, over the shark infested waters of the Central Pacific when the code for his “Left Engine Oil Pressure” came on. His mind immediately went back to all the hours of training he had been through to learn the machine. He recalled his instructor’s advice, “If you have an engine oil pressure emergency, immediately bring your throttle to idle. If the oil pressure remains high, shut her down before your engine explodes.” Ed put his former instructor’s advice into practice. Suddenly, he was flying with one engine. Remarkably, he was able to fly 800 miles to land (when he should have only flown 200 miles) with one engine.

Just like an F-18 you are a high-performance machine. If you connect your mind to Divine Intelligence, you can achieve your dreams and goals. There are two parts of the mind: the conscious mind and the subconscious mind. The conscious mind consists of what you do, say, or think that was formed someplace else. The subconscious mind does not differ between fact or fiction. In fact, it is often trying to identify problems and deliver solutions but is ignored by the conscious mind. A third overlooked part of the brain is the super subconscious which is your connection to Divine Intelligence. This is where you can recode the subconscious with new Divinely Inspired thought patterns.

ASKING GOD QUESTIONS

Ten years ago, Ed says, “My life stopped making sense. Even though I had read all the right books and met all the right people and made a lot of money, I still felt…empty.” He was an inspirational speaker at the time, but could not inspire himself. Although he had a beautiful wife and amazing kids, he felt blank on the inside. Ed went to see a counselor. During his session, he was requested to ask God, “What lies do you believe about yourself.” Although skeptical, Ed chose to ask the question to make the counselor feel the session was successful. When he asked God the question, to his surprise he heard God whisper, “You believe you are alone.” Ed was overwhelmed at the response he got, and tears began to stream down his face during the session. He says, “It was not pretty.”

Something else strange happened in that session, when he closed his eyes, he recalled vividly when he was six years old. His parents were having a divorce intensity argument about what school he would attend. It was during those moments Ed recalls thinking, “Well, I guess I am alone now.” Those seven words became his destiny, a self-fulfilling prophecy. He began to keep his friends at a distance, he had a revolving door of employees, and it took him forever to get married.

The next question the counselor requested Ed to ask God was, “What’s true about me?” God quickly responded, “You’ve never been alone. I have always been with you, and I always will be. And I am proud of you.” Again, Ed saw himself as a six-year-old boy in the middle of his parents’ argument, but this time he saw God with him. After that talk with God, Ed’s life drastically changed. He learned how to become closer in his relationships, attract the right employees, and connect authentically with those around him.

GOD TALKS PROCESS

Ed shares the God Talks process with tens of thousands of lives. “I’ve seen people healed from all kinds of physical problems. I’ve seen marriages restored. I’ve seen the spark of joy come back into sad eyes. And I’ve seen people break out of the ordinary, make a lot of money, and help many people,” says Ed. When people finally discover the truth about themselves, they approach life differently. They let go of fear, others’ expectations, and their internal editor. The process has three steps:
    1.    Prepare Your Mind – write down the things your subconscious mind brings to you. Find a comfortable place to sit and relax. Invite God to speak to you.
    2.    Ask God Two Questions (the diagnosis): “What lies do I believe about ______?” and “What is true about _______?” Don’t edit your answers.
    3.    Recode Your Mind with Two Statements (the cure): Take what you heard from God and use your conscious mind to recode your subconscious with a positive contract. For example, “I let go of the lie that I am unworthy.” Then, take what’s true and insert it into the sentence. For example, “I receive that I am worthy.”

AN ATHEIST HEARS FROM GOD

It is important to note that you don’t have to have any religious belief system to make God Talks work. Interestingly, when you begin to talk to ask God questions, He speaks. At Ed’s business events he always conducts an optional God Talks session in the morning. A woman named Maia who was an atheist decided to attend. She was sexually abused by her father as a child and kept that secret for over forty years. Maria was curious so she stayed for the session. She asked God, “What lies do I believe about myself.” God answered, “That you are unworthy, ugly, and don’t mean anything to Me.” Surprised that God answered her she then asked, “What’s true about me?” God said, “That you are worthy. That you are beautiful. And that I love you.” In an instant her heart was changed, and she was set free. Three months later she shared her story, and it healed other people with similar stories.
