Faith Awakens in La Sierra
In the quiet hills of La Sierra in Honduras, a powerful movement of faith is taking root. This March, Superbook partnered with Operation Blessing to bring the message of Jesus to the children of a local school. While a water project was underway to meet the community’s physical needs, something even more life-changing was happening in the hearts of its youngest members.
Over the course of three days, the Superbook team hosted a series of joyful, interactive events designed to engage children with the Word of God in a way they could understand and embrace. Each day was filled with laughter, learning, and the presence of God.
The featured episode, “A Giant Adventure,” told the story of David and Goliath—a powerful reminder that even children can do great things when God is on their side. Through this story, the children learned how to face their fears with courage and faith, discovering that God’s strength is made perfect in their weakness.
In each session the children learned a SuperTruth—the main takeaway from that lesson:
- God will help me when I face giant problems.
- I may seem small, but in God’s eyes, I can do great things.
- Jesus will guide me and protect me.
These SuperTruths help the children apply the lessons to their daily lives and remind them of God’s truth.
Each session also included dynamic activities, thoughtful questions, and hands-on learning that related to the lesson each day. The children eagerly participated with joy and expressed their gratitude when they received Superbook giftbags and summary sheets to reinforce the lessons. The program concluded with singing “The Salvation Poem,” a joyful declaration of faith that brought smiles to every face.
But the most powerful moment came at the end of the final day.
“We joyfully reported 19 new decisions for Christ out of the 20 children who attended the events over three days,” one Superbook team member shared.
Nineteen young hearts chose to follow Jesus—an incredible testimony to the power of the Gospel and the impact of CBN Animation’s Superbook ministry. Teachers expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity to bring this blessing to their community, and the children left not only with gifts in hand, but with the seeds of faith planted in their hearts.
