“Expect Miracles!”

Vicky Otto is a retired homemaker who loves tending to her garden.

Vicky says, “I plant a lot of dahlias every year. I take care of my roses. And, all different kind of flowers, I love flowers.”

Vicky had no problems with her mobility until one morning in November 2018, when she woke up with  excruciating pain in her left knee.

Vicky recalls, “it hurt when I stood up, sat down, tried to walk. It was just a sharp pain in my left knee and that lasted a while. On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the worst, the pain was about an 8.”

She tried taking ibuprofen for a couple of days but wasn’t improving much.

Vicky shares, “I just thought it was old age, arthritis. It just was very hard and frustrating to deal with.”

Vicky went to see several doctors who confirmed she had osteo-arthritis and gave her cortisone shots.

Vicky says, “Within a few days the pain came back so it only helped very little and temporarily so I was really upset about that.”

Vicky tried acupuncture which only gave her temporary relief.  She lived with the pain for two years and by March of 2020, both knees were hurting.

Vicky shares, “I was praying, ‘Lord, heal me. This is too painful. I can't function like this. Please heal me, Lord.’”

Then in April 2020, Vicky, a  faithful viewer of the 700 Club for over 40 years sat down to watch the show. It was good Friday and Gordon started praying.

Vicky remembers, “He said ‘If you have any part of your body that you want the Lord to heal, place your hand on that part of your body.’ And he also specifically mentioned knee. ‘The Lord is healing a knee.’”

Gordon says, “And we ask for your healing power to be manifest in their lives. For that right jaw to be healed. For that left knee to be healed right now in the name of Jesus. No more pain, no more swelling, no more discomfort.”

Vicky says, “All of a sudden I felt some strange movement going on in my right knee. It felt like snapping and popping. It was so strange. I had never felt that before. I said, ‘Lord, what is going on here? What's all this movement that I'm feeling about?’ He said, ‘I'm healing you.’ And I just started crying and praising. I thanked Him.”

Vicky couldn’t wait to get up and get moving!

Vicky shares, “I started walking around to see how my knees would feel and there was no pain whatsoever in either one of my knees. No more stiffness and no more arthritis because I'm healed.”

Vicky is still pain free today, and thankful to God for healing her.

Vicky says, “Since my healing I've been able to walk. I've been able to go on my stationary bike again, play with the grandkids, do my everyday activity so much easier. And I’m so thankful for that. God is still in the business of healing, that He's our heavenly Father and He loves us so much and wants the best for us. So just keep trusting, keep praying and expect miracles.”
