THE DRAGON’S PROPHECY AND ISRAEL
With eight New York Times bestselling books to his credit, Jonathan Cahn is a master of Bible prophecy and presenting it in a way readers find riveting. Unlike his prior books, his new one, The Dragon’s Prophecy, focuses on the many biblical prophecies concerning the end times, and how they affect all people today. Through his extensive research, Jonathan reveals the ancient forces at work transforming our world, the mysteries of the future, and the ancient secrets given to overcome and prevail in view of that lies ahead. One mystery began on Friday evening, October 6, 2023, when Jonathan shared a message with his Beth Israel congregation. The message centered around a mystery from his prior book, The Josiah Manifesto, which had been released a month earlier. That mystery foreshadowed an attack of Israel by its enemies, which would involve a massive ground invasion, catch the nation by surprise as warning signs went unheeded, take place on the Jewish Sabbath, and lead to war. “It would all come to pass the morning after I shared the mystery’s foundation and parameters,” Jonathan states.
Looking to the future, he believes the most cataclysmic event of the end days will take place in Jerusalem. “So, it all centers on the piece of earth known as the Temple Mount,” he says. “The Beast’s possession of that mount will constitute his ultimate conquest. Its desecration will represent his ultimate act. Why the Temple Mount? The Temple Mount is the center of Jerusalem, the center of Israel, the center of God’s purposes on earth. It is the most holy of grounds. So, if the Temple Mount is the central ground of God’s purposes, it will also become the central ground of the Enemy’s purposes. Lastly, if the Temple Mount is God’s most holy of grounds, then it must become the ground of the Enemy’s most unholy of desecrations. So, it was inevitable that the Temple Mount should become the most fought-over ground on earth, the central space in the war of God and the Enemy, the woman and the Dragon, the Lamb and the Beast,” Jonathan explains. He believes that the spiritual war over the Temple Mount, which is linked to the Book of Revelation, was actually behind both the U.S. terrorist attack on 9/11, and the October 7th Hamas attack on Israel.
MORE END-TIMES MYSTERIES
One of the mysteries Jonathan presents in his new book is, “The Dark Resurrection,” referring to the Anti-Christ “When God brings forth a work into the world, the Enemy seeks to bring forth an alternate work, a false work, an anti-work for the purpose of destroying the work of God,” he says. “In the book of Revelation, the Dragon gives authority and power to the one called ‘the Beast,’ also known as the Antichrist, or the Anti-Messiah … one who would take His place. So, the Antichrist will mimic the Messiah in order to nullify Him.”
Another mystery Jonathan presents in the book is called, “The Return of the Sea Peoples,” which refers to the Philistines or Palestinians. “Of all the enemies faced by Israel in ancient times, the one most deserving of the title
archenemy was the people known as the Philistines,” Jonathan explains. The Philistines overcame and mutilated the Israelite hero Samson. They stood in battle against the Israelite shepherd boy, David. They warred
against Israel’s first king, Saul, and pursued him to his death. It would follow that the Enemy and imitator of God would likewise seek to resurrect an ancient nation, that of Israel’s ancient enemies. It would follow that he would seek to raise from the dead the most embittered, persistent, and relentless of Israel’s ancient enemies.”
THE END TIMES - WHAT WE ALL NEED TO KNOW
Jonathan believes that what we saw happen in Israel last fall is a portent of things to come. “October 7 was saturated with end-time markers. And so, what took place that day will give us a glimpse into the days ahead, the end-time tactics, plans, and strategies of the Dragon. The flood will come through culture, government, media, law, technology, indoctrination, propaganda, economics, religions, and every means at his disposal, including literal and physical war. Those who oppose his agenda he will seek to sweep away.”
A great enemy who will appear in the end times is a Prince in the Middle East, or Sar Paras (sar pah RAHS), Jonathan says. “This unique demonic entity is linked to a particular nation – Persia. The title Sar Paras may be translated as Prince of Persia. As Persia became Iran, the entity may be called the Ruler of Iran,” he explains. “Spirits do not die. Thus the Sar Paras did not perish in ancient times – it still exists. And since it specifically wars against the nation of Israel and God’s end-time purposes for that nation, ‘what would we expect to happen with the return of Israel to the modern world and the Jewish people to Jerusalem? We would expect that it would trigger and reactivate the Sar Paras and his ancient war.”
“What we have opened up and seen must be applied to the most important of realms – your life,” Jonathan says emphatically, and with great hope and encouragement. “And as the Lamb will prevail against the Dragon, so you who walk in the footsteps of the Lamb will, likewise, prevail against the Dragon. Whatever the darkness, whatever the evil, if you follow the Lamb, if you walk in His will, you will prevail. No matter how great the evil, it will, in the end, be vanquished. And no matter now dark its night, the darkness will, in the end, fade into the light of dawn.”
