Bringing Flavor Back from the Dead

“I loved to eat, and I loved coffee,” Christi Anderson said. “Eventually, I didn't like it. I didn't enjoy trying new food because I couldn't taste it. I just went through life not being able to taste anymore.”

“In 2021, after I moved to South Florida, I had no taste all of a sudden,” Christi said. “The doctors were like, ‘Oh, yeah, you've had COVID.’ I’m like, ‘No, I haven't had COVID. I had all my vaccinations, and I didn't have COVID.’ But still, I had no taste.”

“I loved to cook before, then I lost interest in cooking,” Christi said. “I have all this coffee, and it wasn't enjoyable because I couldn't taste that body and the depth, and the flavors of different things. It was very, very difficult. I didn't enjoy going out to eat anymore. It was pretty depressing.”

“It was part of my prayers,” Christi said. “It was kind of like, ‘Oh, by the way, I know you already know this, Lord, but I really would like to have my taste back.’ For four years I just went through life not being able to taste and it just became such a part of life that I didn't even mention it anymore.”

“My normal routine is I get up and watch The 700 Club every morning,” Christi said. “Then Terry has a word from God.”

“I don’t know, if this is COVID-related or from some other issue in your life, but you’ve lost your ability to taste and you’ve kind of just settled with that,” Terry Meeuwsen said. “That’s just the way the rest of your life’s going to be. Well, God’s healing and restoring that for you. Just receive it in Jesus’s name.”

“I received that,” Christi said. “A little bit later on that day, I was drinking some kind of soda and I was like, ‘This tastes really good!’ I immediately attributed that to the healing from the Holy Spirit.”

“I went out to eat a steak somewhere, and it was so divine,” Christi said. “It was so fabulous. When I put that piece of steak in my mouth and I could taste it – that was really amazing. I can taste a good cup of coffee now.”

“After four years of not have taste, there’s no other way to explain it – it was a miracle,” Christi said. “Who would think that losing your taste buds would be such a major thing, but getting them back is even more major. I'm eternally grateful. Yes, I believe in the power of prayer. I testify about it so much. If you truly give your heart to Him, your life to Him, He really does answer your prayers. It may not be right away, but everything is in His timing, and you just have to have faith and patience enough to believe that the Lord is going to answer your prayers.”
