So Little—Yet So Grateful
Not long after Diarra was born, her mother died, leaving her an orphan. She was taken to The House of Love, a home which is supported in part by Orphan’s Promise. Here all her needs are provided for.
“I have received many blessings from the Lord here, which is a miracle. I have a wonderful home and a great family: a father, a mother, and lots of brothers and sisters.” Diarra
In a country that’s 95 percent Muslim, Diarra grew up in a family that introduced her to Jesus.
“I have known Jesus from a very young age. He is the father of orphans, and He has known me since before I was in my mother’s womb. I am the apple of His eye. Here in Senegal, I have to wait until I am eighteen to get baptized. I am looking forward to it very much. God blessed me every day. When new children came into our home, I gave them almost all my clothes. Then God gave me double what I had given.” Diarra
In addition to other support, Orphan’s Promise gave the home a refrigerator and a freezer and provided lights and solar panels for added security at night. Thanks to you, Diarra has a safe home, daily provision, and the joy of knowing she is loved by God.
“I thank Him for every blessing in my life and I am grateful for the people who support Orphan’s Promise. Thank you, may the Lord bless you.” Diarra
