Military Family’s Crisis Averted!

U.S. soldier Gabe has deployed multiple times including two tours to the middle east.  When he’s gone, he leaves the household behind in the capable hands of his wife Miranda.        

Gabe says, “she handles the home without fault. I have no concerns about bills problems in the house, nothing.”     

Miranda replies, “so many things happen when he's gone, but I try not to worry him. And so I just handle it, and I always have. And I’m glad that he recognizes that.”

When the family transferred to Florida, they decided to buy a home.

Miranda says, “I was very excited to buy a house. I mean, it's, it's the woman thing, right? Like, you take a house, make it a home, you get to decorate, you get to do everything that you want.”       

Shortly after they moved in, they noticed their flooring was lifting throughout the entire house.  It continued to get worse. 

Gabe says, “I’ve seen our kids snag it in the kitchen. It hurts. It will dig into your foot pretty good. It's frustrating.”

Gabe and Miranda didn’t have the money to replace it. 

Gabe explains, “it's an expensive fix and one that I’ve been stressing about for a while of when to do it, how to do it, how am I gonna pay for it? I'll just rack up debt.”

Their situation changed when Manna Church contacted Helping The Home Front and asked for assistance.  We said yes.  Manna Outreach Director Alyssa Heitz came over with the good news.

Allysa says, “Manna Church reached out to Helping The Home Front and they have graciously approved to get all of your flooring re-done for you guys.”

Miranda responds, “that's amazing. Thank you. Thank you so much.”

Gabe says, “that's insane. 'cause that is a weight lifted off of me.“

Alyssa continues, “they won't even just be giving you materials. They're gonna do it all.”

Miranda says, “no way! Oh my gosh. That's awesome. That's awesome.”

A short time later, Gabe and Miranda had a brand new floor.    

Gabe concludes, “I am so grateful to helping the home front because they just took a heavy burden, thousands of dollars off my shoulders, and so that's just a huge blessing.”

Miranda concludes, “I hope the CBN partners understand how much we appreciate them and, um, their giving and what it means to our family because it truly is a blessing.”
