Superbook Helps Ukrainian Children Discover Jesus
In the riverside resort town of Morshyn, nestled in Ukraine’s Lviv region, a group of sixty children from across the country gathered for a life-changing experience. For one week, they attended the Christian wellness camp “Jesus – My Compass,” a place where faith, healing, and joy came together in the midst of uncertainty and hardship.
The children came from diverse regions—Lviv, Sheptytsky, Odesa, Kherson, Sumy, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Kharkiv—many of them carrying the emotional weight of war, displacement, and loss. But for seven unforgettable days, they were surrounded by love, laughter, and the life-giving truth of God’s Word.
At the heart of the camp was CBN Animation’s Superbook, the beloved Bible series that brings Scripture to life through engaging storytelling and animated adventures. Each day, the children watched Superbook episodes, reflected on the biblical truths they learned, and participated in meaningful discussions that helped them connect personally with the stories.
One of the most powerful moments was the Way of the Cross—a series of stations where children paused to reflect on their own lives and pray prayers of repentance. It was a sacred time of healing and spiritual awakening, helping many children understand the depth of Jesus’s love and the hope found in his sacrifice.
The camp also included creative workshops where children made crafts and wrote “golden verses” from the Bible to give as gifts to their parents. These small but heartfelt creations became symbols of their growing faith and desire to share God’s love with their families.
As the camp came to a close, the children returned home full of joy and eager to share their experiences. They proudly showed the gifts they had received from the Superbook project and spoke with excitement about the lessons they learned and the friendships they built.
