That’s the vision behind a powerful collaboration between the South African branch of CBN Animation’s Superbook and Focus on the Family, a trusted ministry known for equipping families with biblically grounded resources.
This partnership is more than a shared mission—it’s a strategic effort to reach children by first reaching their parents.
In May, Superbook South Africa had the opportunity to participate in a Focus on the Family event designed to support families through parenting and marriage enrichment. These gatherings draw large numbers of churchgoers and community members who are deeply invested in building Christ-centered homes. It was the perfect platform to introduce Superbook as a discipleship tool for children.
Throughout the event, Superbook was showcased as a resource that helps parents nurture their children’s spiritual growth at home. Church leaders and families were invited to explore how Superbook can be integrated into:
- Sunday school programs
- Home devotionals
- Community outreach initiatives
The response was overwhelmingly positive. Parents were encouraged to see how animated Bible stories could spark meaningful conversations with their children. Church leaders saw the potential for structured discipleship through Superbook Academy (Sunday school curriculum based on CBN Animation’s Superbook), and families left inspired to make faith a central part of their daily lives.
This partnership reflects Superbook’s commitment to whole-family ministry. By aligning with Focus on the Family, Superbook reinforces the belief that evangelizing children is most effective when parents and guardians are actively involved.
As one Superbook team member shared, the collaboration with Focus on the Family facilitates “relationship-building and resource sharing that encourages churches to take the next step toward adopting structured discipleship programs such as Superbook Academy.”
