From Painful Swallowing to Instant Healing

Donna recalls, “Something in my throat. I didn’t know exactly what it was. It was very gnawing. It felt like a, a straight pin. It was penetrating some flesh in my throat.”

In April 2025, Donna Alderson noticed a sharp pain in her throat. Even swallowing became difficult.  

Donna shares, “I was very concerned. And it was painful when I tried to drink. I could feel it when I tried to eat, I could feel it. I got to the point where I wasn't eating very much because it hurt.”

She then discovered a small growth.

Donna says, “This might be something very serious. I was really frightened after it didn't go away.”

Donna turned to God, believing for a miracle.

Donna remembers, “After the third week I said I better get to the doctor, but I just kept praying the whole time because I was expecting for him to heal me.”

On the very morning, she planned to call her doctor, Donna turned on the 700 Club. That’s when she heard Terry praying for someone struggling with throat issues.

Donna says, “I put my hands up to my throat and Terry put her hands up to the throat and she said,”

Terry Meeuwsen says, “There’s someone else; you have a growth, it’s like in this part of your throat where your glands are, under here, and you’re very very concerned about it. God’s removing that from you right now. It’s just gonna fade away. It’ll be gone, no more pain. No more concerns, in Jesus’ name.”

Donna explains, “I was like, thank you Lord. That's me.  That is me. I felt this warmth come over my body as I was praising him. And I knew it was gone.”

The next morning, the pain and the nodule were still there. However, Donna refused to doubt.                 She replayed Terry’s prayer clinging to God’s promise of healing. Suddenly, all the discomfort was gone.

Donna remembers, “I raised one hand in thanksgiving, the other one in praise, and I said, thank you. I received my healing in the name of Jesus, and it was gone.”

Since that day, Donna hasn’t had any throat problems. She encourages others to trust God for healing no matter how long it takes because his healing power never fails.

Donna says, “Keep the faith, keep praying about it. Keep asking. It's A.S.K. Ask, seek and knock. Keep knocking. Be persistent. And He'll certainly come through, always comes through. And His timing is always perfect.”
