Single Mother Receives Unexpected Blessing

Araceli has been working on farms in San Quintin, Mexico to support her three young children after her husband abandoned them. She says, “I was very worried. The children used to cry a lot and I think it's because they were hungry. There were days when we didn't even have anything to eat.” The situation got worse when Araceli no longer had anyone to help her take care of the kids while she went to work. She says, “I cried when that happened. I saw my children suffering because there was no money for food.”

Then one day, Araceli connected with a daycare facility supported by CBN’s Orphan’s Promise. She had never been there before because she could not afford to pay for childcare, but when she went, she learned that it was free. The facility was big, and she thought, ‘My children will have a lot of space to run and play here.’   

Now the kids have a safe place to stay while Araceli is at work. Plus, the program provides daily nutritious meals and snacks. Araceli’s 4-year-old son thinks that’s great.  She says, “I feel peace when I leave them here. I go to work calmly. There’s been a change in our lives, a total change! For me, this is a great blessing. Thank you!”
