Superbook Brings Children to Jesus
In the vibrant community of Benito Juárez, Mexico, a remarkable event took place that brought hope and transformation to many children. This February, Operation Blessing held a two-day Superbook activity coinciding with a mobile medical clinic (MMC) program. The event was designed to benefit about 45 children, providing them with both spiritual nourishment and medical care.
The first day of the event featured the Superbook episode “A Giant Adventure.” After watching the episode, the Superbook team held a discussion with the children about the story. The children learned that God is always with us to help us in times of trouble.
On the second day, the children watched the episode “Let My People Go.” This episode taught the children that God always sees and hears us and gives us strength to face different challenges. The children discussed how God is always present and attentive to their needs, and the importance of prayer in their lives.
Toward the end of these sessions, the children colored pictures related to the episodes, expressing their creativity and reinforcing the lessons learned. They also had the opportunity to meet Gizmo, the friendly robot from Superbook. They hugged him and took photos, creating lasting memories of the event. These sessions were significant during the mobile medical program, as they helped the children feel calm while waiting for their medical consultations. They also allowed the children to experience Jesus' love and his presence in difficult moments.
The sessions concluded with the reading of the Salvation Poem, inviting the children to read or sing it aloud. A total of 17 children made decisions to accept Jesus into their hearts during these events. We praise God that the seeds planted by Superbook are bearing fruit and that these children are now children of God. The engaging and relatable stories of the Bible brought to life through Superbook have helped these children connect with the Word of God and experience Jesus' love.
