Children of God in Ojos de Agua
The community of Ojos de Agua in Honduras, known for its warm and welcoming people, witnessed a remarkable transformation this February. Operation Blessing held three Superbook events at a local school, utilizing the Superbook Academy curriculum to bring the message of hope and salvation to over 65 children. The warmth and enthusiasm of the people in this community were palpable, making each event a memorable and impactful experience.
The first event introduced the children to the Superbook episode "A Giant Adventure." The story of Chris and Joy, along with Gizmo, captivated the children as they watched Chris struggle with stage fright while auditioning for the school band. Feeling sad, frustrated, and defeated, Chris’s journey led to the introduction of the first SuperTruth (the main point of that day’s Superbook lesson): "God will help me when I face giant problems." This powerful message resonated with the children, teaching them that they can rely on God's strength in times of difficulty.
The second event continued with the same episode, focusing on another SuperTruth: "I may be small, but in God's eyes, I can do great things." The children were inspired by the idea that their size and age does not limit their potential in God's eyes. They eagerly participated in interactive activities, answered review questions to win prizes, and sang songs, all designed to reinforce the lesson's message.
Due to road protests, the third event was postponed a week. Despite the delay, the children and teachers eagerly awaited the conclusion of the Superbook Academy lessons. The third lesson emphasized the third SuperTruth: "God will guide and protect me." The children learned that they can trust God to be with them and protect them in every situation.
For the glory of God, this series of events culminated in sharing the Gospel with over 65 children, all of whom said yes to receiving the Lord Jesus as their Savior. Here at CBN Animation we are filled with immense joy and satisfaction as we witness the Holy Spirit’s work in the miracle of new life in hearts of these children, who can now call themselves children of God. As one Superbook team member said at the end of these events, “We are blessed to be the hands and feet of Jesus, bringing the good news of salvation to every place he allows us to reach.”
