Rob Allman
Vice President
CBN Vice President of News | Rob Allman leads the News Department, joining CBN in 2004 after a 20-year career in local news. As Vice-President, he manages daily operations in the Virginia Beach headquarters and two additional bureaus (Washington, D.C., and Jerusalem, Israel). These combined news operations produce content for The 700 Club, the CBN News Channel, CBNNews.com, CBN News digital (YouTube), and an extensive line-up of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, Rumble, and TikTok). CBN News also inaugurated Mundo Christiano, its Spanish-language broadcast and website, in 2006.
During Rob’s tenure, CBN News moved into state-of-the-art facilities at headquarters and in both bureaus. He oversaw creation of the mobile/streaming app in 2012, development of a 24/7 news channel in 2018, and the 2021 strategic expansion of a digital team to lean into YouTube as a news platform. That channel is responsible for gaining 2.34 million subscribers and 1.08 billion total content views between July 2021 and July 2026.
Before joining CBN, Rob was the Assistant News Director at KTVT (CBS) in the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas. Before that, he spent 13 years as the Executive Producer at WJLA-TV (ABC) in metro Washington, D.C., along with News Director positions at WFMY-TV (Greensboro, N.C.) and WLWT (Cincinnati, Ohio).
Rob enjoys spending time with his five children and seven grandchildren. He has a generational heart for ministry; his father and both grandfathers were ministers of the Gospel. Given that legacy, Rob is grateful that CBN News provides him an opportunity to use his gifts and passion for news to glorify God.
