The Bible Comes Alive for One Family

When Zach and Jazz Estep married and became a blended family, they decided it was time to start going to church and reconnect with the faith of their youth.

“We just wanted to surround ourselves with all things that were biblical and that we knew were true,” Jazz explained.

They especially wanted to share that faith with their children.

“It’s very important to us for them to be in church during this developmental time in their lives—to learn the truth,” Zach stated. “That way, as they grow into adulthood, they have a better understanding of what their role in life is.”

A few months after they found a church home, Jazz began helping in the children’s ministry. There, she, her son Kai, and daughter Zoe, saw Superbook for the first time—and they loved it.

“It brings it to life and makes it more realistic,” Jazz exclaimed. “Even though it’s an animated series, what their imaginations are doing, they actually see acted out on screen. It helps them remember things and brings scripture to life.”

“My favorite episode is probably Ruth,” Zoe said. “Because that’s one of my favorite books in the Bible… I like the message in it.”

“I learned about Gideon,” Kai added. “I didn’t really know much about him before. But now, every time someone brings up Bible stories that are in Superbook, I can relate to them.”

“I really like Superbook because it tells the story of the children and what’s going on in their lives,” Zach said. “Then they time-travel back and witness different events in the Bible. At the end, they apply what they learned to their own lives. I think that’s really important—for kids to see how biblical truths connect to their everyday experiences.”

Zoe explained why she believes other kids should watch Superbook:
“I think kids should watch Superbook to grow their faith in Jesus more.”

Zach agreed, adding, “Any of my friends who have kids—I always recommend Superbook. It’s not just something they pick up and put down and forget. They hold onto the information, and that’s awesome for us to see—and to share with others who are out there.”
