“God Hears and Answers My Prayers”

In the heart of Myanmar, a young girl named Htet Htet, aged 12, faced challenges that seemed insurmountable. She lived in a Buddhist family with financial hardships. Her father worked as a security guard to support them. In addition, Htet Htet had cataracts, which caused her to lose her sight.

Htet Htet's journey took a remarkable turn when she began attending Sunday school, where she was introduced to Superbook. This animated series brings the stories of the Bible to life, making them accessible and relatable for children around the world. One particular lesson, "The Road to Damascus," resonated deeply with Htet Htet. She learned about Saul's transformation when Ananias laid his hands on him and prayed, causing something like scales to fall from his eyes, and restoring his sight.

Inspired by this story, Htet Htet and her Sunday school teacher prayed fervently for her own healing. She believed that just as Saul was healed, she too could experience a miracle. Her faith was unwavering, and soon, she had the opportunity to undergo surgery for her cataracts. The operation was successful, and she regained her sight. Htet Htet knew that God had answered her prayer, deepening her faith and trust in Him.

Filled with confidence in Jesus’ power to answer prayers, Htet Htet prayed for her father when he fainted one day, and he recovered without needing to go to the hospital. Htet Htet later credited the Superbook episode “Jonah” with teaching her that God will answer her prayers in times of difficulty. "I believe that God hears and answers my prayers when I am really in need of His help."

After witnessing Htet Htet’s faith, her own miraculous transformation, and her answered prayer for her father’s health, Htet Htet’s entire family denounced Buddhism and chose to believe in Jesus Christ as their Savior. They were baptized, publicly declaring their faith in Jesus.

Htet Htet's story is a powerful reminder of the global impact of CBN Animation's Superbook. It shows how the stories of the Bible can bring hope, transformation, and faith to children and families, regardless of their cultural or religious background. Superbook has the potential to reach even more children like Htet Htet, offering them a chance to connect with the Word of God and experience his love.
