'Veggie Tales' Spin-Off Series Coming to Netflix
America's favorite Christian animated vegetables are coming to Netflix.
A Veggie Tales spin-off series called "Veggie Tales in the House" launches Wednesday. Each episode is composed of two 11-minute stories with songs.
The co-creators of the show talked about why the Netflix series was created.
"The the advantage of the shows being on Netflix is that they are so easy to share them and to discover them," Phil Vischer, Veggie Tales co-creator explained.
"Just the fact that a mom could be shopping in the grocery store with their kids and their kids are getting cranky, and antsy and you can give them your phone with the Netflix app and watch 11 minutes of Veggie Tales and actually get a moral lesson, I mean thats really cool," he said.
"Veggie Tales in the House" provides a look at where the veggies live their everyday lives and is intended to compliment the DVD releases through a more traditional show.
The creators of the show say even though the cartoon may have a new look, the values are staying the same.
