JERUSALEM, Israel – Bishop Robert Stearns, founder of Eagles' Wings Ministries, has been bringing U.S. pastors for years to cement the alliance between Christian evangelicals and Israel. On this visit, he was here with Pastor Samuel Rodriguez, one of the foremost leaders in the Latino evangelical movement.

The two have witnessed dramatic changes in the stance toward Israel since the Trump inauguration in January. Pastor Rodriguez calls it a "great wake-up call,” especially for Latinos in the Western Hemisphere.

Stearns points out that the international community has “thrown billions and billions of dollars at this problem” in Gaza for 75 years with no change.

He’s encouraged by President Trump’s out-of-the-box thinking that might lead to a real solution.
