Why Israel?

Have you ever wondered why Israel is so important in God's plan?  Or has the Church itself replaced Israel in the scriptures?  

In this first segment of our CBN News interview, Rev. Willem J.J. Glashouwer, the author of Why Israel? dispels the notion of replacement theology and gives a clear biblical understanding of Israel.  Most of all, Glashouwer passionately expounds on God's heart for the Jewish people.  

In this segment, Glashouwer explains how to see God's eye for Israel through the His Word and the everlasting covenants still in operation today.

As the Church celebrates the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, Glashouwer says Martin Luther's movement catapulted the Church into wonderful biblical truths.  But he laments that Luther at the end of his life tragically lurched into anti-Semitism.  He adds that the missing link in the Reformation was a statement of faith of God's heart towards Israel and the Jewish people.
