Yoon Receives Salvation because of Superbook
In the bustling streets of Myanmar, a bright 10-year-old girl named Yoon is navigating her way through the fourth grade. Her household represents a blend of religious beliefs, with her father being a Buddhist and her mother a Christian. Despite her faith, Yoon’s mother was initially indifferent to religious activities and spiritual growth, both for herself and her daughter.
However, Yoon’s aunt was determined to introduce her niece to the teachings of Christ. She persistently encouraged Yoon to attend Sunday school, hoping this would have a positive impact on her. Yoon used to have behavioral problems. She often spoke harshly, lied, and disobeyed her parents. But everything began to change when she saw the Superbook episode “In the Beginning.”
Through this episode, Yoon learned that disobeying her parents was a sin, but God would forgive her sins if she repented and put her trust in Jesus. This realization led her to accept Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. From that moment on, her behavior was completely different. She started speaking politely, stopped lying, and became more obedient to her parents.
Yoon’s newfound faith also inspired her to dedicate more time to God. She began attending Sunday school regularly and even invited her friends to join her. Her commitment to her faith and her positive changes in behavior did not go unnoticed. Her parents, who once showed little interest in her spiritual activities, began to encourage her to attend Sunday school.
